Hadleigh was built by award winning designer Aaron Haddock. His penchant for blending the character reminiscent of older homes into a modern build is well exemplified here.

The décor reflects much of our interests, the eclectic mix of art includes New Zealand works. A gallery of Porsche racing memorabilia has space in the study. Guests are welcome to peruse the collection.

There are reminders of the former Hadleigh including early photos courtesy Alexander Turnbull Library, stained glass, and an original brass door bell . The rustic bird bath, gas light and iron gates, retrieved when our Christchurch Hadleigh was demolished have found new homes in the garden.

You will love the garden

The garden has hundreds of hedging plants, trees and shrubs. Bird life abounds, more than 22 visiting species have been identified. The 13 metre lap pool is for all to enjoy.

Enjoy the `Red ' Room

The large schist fire place adds a baronial touch to this spacious room. It is here that pre dinner drinks are served if the weather does not permit an evening in the garden

The Kitchen is the heart of Hadleigh

The kitchen, like all of the living areas faces North,( sunny aspect). Bifold doors and windows open out to the garden. Baking, preparing sumptous breakfasts and enticing nibbles for our evening cocktails is a pleasure in this environment.

The library, a fine sanctuary

The earthy leather suites,plaid tub chairs, art work and many books evoke an era of time past. A fine spot for an after dinner port , to enjoy music or just read and relax
